Kenya's Best Safari Deals & Local Cultural Experience
Samburu National Reserve
Samburu National Reserve is located 325 kilometres from Nairobi and sits in the dry Northern territory. The land is inhabited by the colourful samburu people close relatives to the Masai tribe. Samburu National Reserve is an arid, hilly region with riverine forests, doum palms, acacia woodland and scrubland, offering a dramatic and rugged landscape in a rather remote region of Kenya. Despite its location on this harsh environment, the reserve has its own uniqueness. Come and enjoy spotting the Big Five.
Safaris and Game Drives in Samburu
Samburu National Reserve is one of the best places for safaris and game viewing in Kenya. It is the only place to easily see some species of wildlife which are rare to see in any other park since they only live above the equator. Fewer tourists in a wildlife rich, desert like setting amidst the colourful samburu people also contributes to its uniqueness with excellent game viewing. The Ewaso Nyiro River that flows through the middle of the reserve provides water without which the game could not survive in this arid area.
