8 Day Greatest Wildlife Spectacular Kenya safari takes us to Lake Nakuru, Masai Mara, Nairobi and Amboseli giving you a top safari experience on your Kenyan holiday. Can be extended to 14 days if you wish to visit a rural village and enjoy Kenya’s cultural and Beach experience in Diani, Mombasa.
Day 1: Arrive Nairobi, Kenya: Mvuli House
Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi where you will be received by your local tour guide followed by a transfer for your overnight accommodation at Mvuli House situated a few kilometres from the airport. Relax while at the same time getting ready before your Greatest Wildlife Spectacular Kenya safari adventure begins tomorrow morning.
Day 2: Nairobi – Masai Mara: Mara Sidai Camp
We depart after breakfast for the glorious Masai Mara National Reserve, probably one of the world famous reserve in Africa. Enjoy unique opportunities watching all kinds of wildlife including the Big Five and the spectacular wildebeest migration, usually taking place between July and October. We will arrive in time for check-in and lunch at Mara Sidai Safari Camp nestled under a canopy of indigenous trees creating a cool retreat from the heat of the plains, the leafy canopy attracts large variety of bird life all day long and you will be gently awaken by a chorus of bird call every morning. Enjoy an afternoon safari game drive. Greatest Wildlife Spectacular Kenya safari Dinner and overnight at Mara Sidai Safari Camp.
Day 3: Full Day Masai Mara: Mara Sidai Camp
Our 8 Day Greatest Wildlife Spectacular Kenya safari is today an opportunity to enjoy two safari game drives. One in the morning and another in the evening in Masai Mara game reserve. Lose yourself in the breath-taking splendors of Masai Mara plains with a break for a picnic bush lunch if you so wish. The evening game drive further gives you the chance to seek out for game you may not have previously spotted. Explore every corner of this magnificent reserve, the park of parks where wildlife freely wander across these pure African savannah plains. Most likely to spot lions basking in the shade, and may even be able to find an elusive solo leopard and many other wildlife species. Dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru: Waterbuck Hotel
We depart after breakfast for Lake Nakuru National Park, a birdwatcher’s paradise and its shores are home to over a million flamingos and other wildlife species including the black and white rhinos. We will arrive in time for check-in and lunch at Waterbuck Hotel followed by an afternoon safari game drive along the shores of the lake. Day 5: Lake Nakuru – Amboseli: Amboseli Camp
We depart after breakfast for Amboseli National Park, an amazing ecosystem with elephants as the kings of the park and best known as a photographer’s paradise as you have all the chances to capture some of the most beautiful close-up wildlife photographs. We will arrive in time for check-in and lunch at Amboseli Safari Camp. After lunch enjoy an afternoon safari game drive in Amboseli, also recognized as the best place offering some of the most magnificent views of the legendary Mount Kilimanjaro especially on a clear morning. Greatest Wildlife Spectacular Kenya Safari dinner and overnight Amboseli Safari camp.
Day 6: Full Day Amboseli
After breakfast, embark on a full day safari game drive with packed / picnic lunch. Explore every corner of the park returning to the camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Amboseli – Nairobi – Airport Transfer
We depart after breakfast back to Nairobi arriving in time for lunch. Welcome to Nairobi which was once a swampy area. It was founded in 1899 and once on the hands of British authorities during the colonial period is today Kenya’s capital and East Africa’s most cosmopolitan city. Nairobi has been nicknamed as the world’s safari capital in the sense that it is the only place in the world with a wildlife park within its boundaries. From kissing giraffes, shopping, art and culture, dining, parks and green spaces to sport activities, Nairobi is a beehive of activities. Time for optional lunch at the famous Carnivore Restaurant or drive straight to Jomo Kenyatta Airport for your flight back home.
Day 8: Arrive Home
Arrive back home with full memories of Kenya.
Mombasa Beach, Rural Village Culture Extension – Optional
Day 7: Amboseli – Nairobi – Mombasa
After breakfast bid goodbye to the camp attendants and proceed to Nairobi. We will arrive in time for lunch at Nairobi’s famous Carnivore Restaurant, before we transfer you to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight to Mombasa. Dinner and overnight at Castle Royal Hotel.
Day 8 – 11: Mombasa – Tsunza Village
After breakfast we will go shopping and thereafter depart for this coastal rural village, Tsunza. Here begins another journey, a cultural trip into Tsunza village, the heart of a true African village in the outskirts of Mombasa. Welcome and discover the other side of Kenya as you spend your days mingling with the local villagers and doing everything as they do.
Cultural Experience and Other Activities in Tsunza Village
- Mingle with the local villagers in their homesteads
- Learn about the local culture and traditions
- Learn how to play and dance to traditional music of the Duruma community
- Take part in day-to-day activities: fishing, grazing, farming, etc.
- Enjoy open air picnic lunch under palm trees
- Watch tradition palm wine tapping or even test it while still fresh
- Meet, greet and play with children at Makuti Children’s Home
- Bonfire and Barbeque sessions
Day 11 – 13: Tsunza Village – Diani Beach Ukunda
Finally we bid goodbye to the villagers and depart Tsunza village heading out to the beach arriving in time for lunch at Rongai Restaurant. Welcome to the famous south coast beaches where the crystalline Indian waters and sparkling white sands invite you for relaxing moments after your safari. Overnight at Pride Inn Hotel for the rest of your stay in Diani Beach Ukunda.
Day 13: Diani Beach – Airport Transfer
Today we have come to the end of our stay in Kenya. After breakfast bid goodbye and proceed to Moi International Airport for your flight back home.
Day 14: Arrive Home
Arrive back home with full memories of Kenya.
